Samsung Galaxy S5 now available from Boost and Virgin Mobile

Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship has found a home in two new carriers in the US, with Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile now selling the Samsung Galaxy S5. The phone can be bought unlocked for $599.99, and can be paired with Boost’s Monthly Unlimited Select plans and Virgin Mobile’s Beyond Talk plans. The former starts at $40 for unlimited talk, text and data, while the latter starts at $35 with unlimited data and messages and 300 call minutes.

When it comes to the phone itself, it’s the same one that has been available on other carriers since the beginning of April, meaning it has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080p resolution, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of storage and a microSD slot, LTE connectivity, a 2,800 mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat underneath the latest iteration of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
