Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could feature a 5.7 inch 2K resolution display

Galaxy Note 4

A new report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could feature a 2K resolution 5.7 inch display panel. This is a bit odd considering that the Galaxy Note 3 also packs a 5.7 inch display and it’s unheard of for Samsung to not increase the size of a flagship compared to its predecessor.

So keeping those factors into account, make sure you take the report with a pinch of salt. But given that the Galaxy Note 3 is quite large to begin with, it seems plausible that Samsung might not want to increase the size further.

There is also talk of Samsung going with a three sided curved display for the Galaxy Note 4, but that might not materialize given the manufacturing limitations. We’ll keep a close eye on the rumor mill and let you know when we find something new and interesting.

The smartphone is also expected to be water and dust resistant like the Galaxy S5, so this could be a standard feature across future Samsung flagships.

  1. The three sided screen was rumoured to appear in the Note 3. At this point, I don’t think it will ever materialise.

Also, the flexible screen is oled based, and they are still lower resolution than the LCD counterpart so I don’t see it being 2K and flexible
