With Nokia’s devices business now in the hands of Microsoft, one would think that the Finnish company’s sole attempt at an Android phone would start getting neglected. However, that’s not the case, at least for now –
Nokia Microsoft is now rolling out an update to the Nokia X that bumps the software version up to 220.127.116.11 and makes OneDrive a pre-installed app, bringing it closer to the Microsoftian experience it was supposed to offer from the start.
The update also adds a new Contact Transfer app for easier transfers of contact numbers from another device, and an updated version of the Nokia Store. There are also general performance and stability enhancements, the former of which should be quite useful considering the lag the Nokia X suffers from because of its low-end hardware and older OS version. The update has been rolling out since yesterday, so it should be available on your phone right away. If not, you can head into the Settings » About Phone » System Updates menu to download it manually.
