New leak reveals the lock screen of the LG G3 with slim side bezels

LG G3 Lockscreen

The LG G3 has been an essential part of the leaks over the past couple of days, especially with detailed press images leaking out yesterday. Today’s leak is quite similar as it is a press image too, but we’re getting a look of the device with the display turned on. This gives us a thorough look of the new circular clock available in the lockscreen, which also explains why a case for the smartphone had a circular shaped slot on the top.

Evleaks has also mentioned that the mystery slot on the back next to the camera is a laser auto focus sensor, which sounds interesting. Initial rumors had suggested that this could be an additional flash for low light conditions, but that’s clearly not the case.

The smartphone has leaked out in all three colors, so there’s no doubt in our mind that this is indeed the real deal. We’re particularly impressed by the narrow bezels used by LG, which ensures that the smartphone doesn’t seem too large even though it is significantly bigger than a conventional smartphone.

The handset is expected to feature a 5.5 inch 2K resolution display, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13-megapixel OIS+ camera on the back and Android 4.4.2 KitKat running LG’s latest UI which is expected to be less flashy and more flat this time around.
