LG has yet to officially unveil its latest flagship smartphone called the LG G3 however as early as now confirmed information about the device has already been released by some of the company’s official websites which includes LG Netherlands and LG UK. The LG G3 page has already been removed however a cached version still exists which can be viewed by anyone.
Let’s take a look at the key features of the LG G3 based on the official LG Netherlands site
It’s been confirmed that metal will be used instead of plastic. The official page indicates that the device will be using a lightweight metal housing. The device is also very thin making it easily usable with only one hand.
This device will use a 5.5-inch display that has a resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels making it a Quad HD display. It comes with a high 538ppi making images appear very vibrant and sharp on the screen.
This device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. While not indicated in the LG Netherlands page, the LG UK page states that it will be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.46 GHz quad-core processor.
The camera of this device is vastly improved compared to the LG G3. It now makes use of Optical Image Stabilization technology which allows better photos and videos to be taken without the user worrying about shaking or moving the camera. The Advanced OIS + Camera has four new features which are listed below.
- Laser Autofocus: Allows the device to focus quickly and eliminates image blurs.
- Dual LED Flash: Sufficient lighting is now achieved even during low lighting conditions
- Touch & Shoot: The simple interface allows users to easily shoot photos
- Improved Selfie: With just a simple hand movement the camera can take a photo remotely.
LG’s popular security measure is included with this device. The Knock Code allows a user to set a specific knock pattern to unlock their device. More than 80,000 codes can be made making this one of the most difficult security measures to crack.
This feature allows the smartphone to learn the preferences of its user. The device will provide suggestions to users even before the user has thought of it. Some of the suggestions include “Would you erase the nine apps you have not been used for two months?” or “You missed a call from John at 12:30 would you call him back.”?
This latest smartphone supports wireless charging moreover its 3,000mAh battery can be used for an extended period of time before needing another recharge.
This is a new feature that brings together six of your most used apps into one circle to make them easier to access.
The other features of this device based on the LG UK site indicate that the LG G3 will have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with support of up to 2TB of microSD, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 4.0. Stay tuned tomorrow as the official unveiling of this device by LG begins.
