International users of the LG G2 are now receiving an update which brings the much awaited Knock Code feature. The smartphone comes with LG Knock On by default which allows users to double tap and wake up the display, but the Knock Code allows users to lock/unlock the display with a series of taps (up to 8), thus providing more security to the users.
The feature is enabled by default on the LG G Pro 2 and some midrange devices like the LG F90 as well, so we can expect all future LG smartphones and tablets to pack Knock Code out of the box. The update is being rolled out to D802 models of the G2, so make sure you’re patient if you don’t see the update notification yet. The update will obviously roll out in batches, so it might take a couple of days before reaching the entirety of the G2 population across the globe.
If you’ve already received the update, make sure you hit the screen lock settings to enable the feature.
