The HTC One M8 on AT&T will finally start receiving the Extreme Power Saving Mode feature this week with an update reportedly rolling out in the coming days. This news was shared through a tweet by an HTC employee, so it’s coming from a legitimate source. The update has reportedly received technical acceptance from the carrier, which indicates that it isn’t too far away.
It should also come with a few other minor adjustments and bug fixes, but the addition of the Extreme Power Savings Mode is perhaps the most notable addition. The update has rolled out to the international variants of the smartphone while some carrier variants of the One M8 also received the update not too long ago.
The update basically brings improved battery backup for your smartphone, in addition to what is already considered a decent battery backup on the One M8.
