Sales of the HTC One (M8) could give the company 3% global marketshare

HTC One (M8)

The HTC One (M8) was not a secret before it was unveiled late last month. However, it still managed to take everybody by surprise thanks to its gorgeous design and respectable specs sheet (except for the camera). This massive popularity could turn out to be quite fruitful for the company according to a new analyst report and eventually give the Taiwanese manufacturer a 3% global marketshare with over 4.2 million units of the handset expected to be sold in Q2 2014.

The smartphone was one of the first to arrive in the markets immediately after its announcement on March 25, beating Samsung and Sony to the punch. This has helped the manufacturer gain some precious sales as no other competitive flagship was available in the market then. But with the Samsung Galaxy S5 launching tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how the market reacts to the HTC flagship.

The One (M8) is certainly one of the best smartphones to come out in 2014 in terms of hardware and design, which will be a crucial factor for its success.
