The Design Head of HTC, Scott Croyle, has announced his departure from the company. Jonah Becker who was working with Croyle will take his place now.

Croyle has been responsible for the design of smartphones like the HTC One (M7) as well as the recently launched M8, so he’s leaving behind a big legacy. He joined the company back in 2008 when HTC acquired One & Co and has been an integral part of the design team ever since.

Even though he has left the company now, it is mentioned that he will still play a key role in some of the projects at HTC as he makes his exit. It is said that Croyle will be looking to work on some of his independent projects post his departure from the company and hasn’t confirmed if he will be joining a rival company.

This is troubling news for HTC as it’s already struggling to keep up with the competition and the departure of one of its key figures will be a huge loss.
