Dialer app from Android 4.4.3 spotted in a new leak

We recently saw a new change within the Dialer app inadvertently leaked out by Google’s official Nexus Twitter page. And today we get a clear look at the Dialer app with a neat looking redesign.

The app is now more like Gmail with its listing of contacts which will show a picture when available but an alphabet if there’s no contact image. These are based on a tile like layout, so it seems like some serious changes are forthcoming with Android 4.4.3.

Google has been trying to make some changes to maintain a familiar design across the board for its apps, which is good to see. This leak appears to be pretty credible as it’s reportedly coming from a Google employee carrying a Nexus 5 and featuring an internal kernel version. So these changes should more than likely make its way to all compatible Nexus and GPE devices in the coming days.
