Camera app from the LG G2 ported to the Nexus 5

LG G2 camera app - Nexus 5

The Nexus 5 can do a lot of things right, but its camera options are severely limited, although the launch of the Google Camera has helped greatly with editing and post processing options. But those willing to get more out of the camera from the premier Google flagship will now be pleased to know that some developers over at XDA have successfully ported the camera app from the LG G2 onto this device.

Running this new camera app will require users to have root access with a custom recovery installed, so it’s not for rookies. Some hardware specific camera features such as the Time Lapse option are currently non functional on the Nexus 5, which is understandable. But rest assured, most features work as expected.

This camera app should help Nexus 5 users get better images and some improved filtering effects as well. If you know your way around custom recoveries and installing apps there, head over to the link below and give this a try.
