A new benchmark listing on AnTuTu has revealed the existence of the Pantech IM-A888S carrying top of the line hardware. It’s unclear as to when this device will break cover, but judging by what we see here, it seems like the Korean manufacturer has something big planned for the market.
This device which is possibly in testing right now is revealed to be packing a 2K resolution display, a 2.4 GHz Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. This is certainly one of the powerful handsets that we’ve come across in a while, so it’s clear that Pantech is taking the high end segment quite seriously.
However, since this is merely a benchmark listing at this point, it’s hard to get excited about this new offering. But considering the accuracy of leaks like these, we’re hoping this handset will eventually break cover. Pantech predominantly sells its smartphones in South Korea, but we cannot rule out a global launch of this particular device unless there’s confirmation from the manufacturer.
