After Motorola and fashion company Fossil announced their own Android Wear based smartwatches, LG doesn’t want to be left behind either as it has just announced its own smartwatch based on Android Wear.
“This is LG’s fourth device developed in close collaboration with Google following the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition,” said a company statement.
The good news here is that the LG G Watch will reportedly be compatible with a wide range of Android devices, which means you won’t need to buy a smartphone from a specific manufacturer to use one of these. This is a very crucial feature to have which will have a positive impact on the sales of these smartwatches when they hit the markets in a few months from now.
LG has only released a picture of the G Watch with no word on the specifications or the pricing at this point, but we hope to learn more about that in a couple of months.
So how many of you are looking forward to the LG G Watch? Or do you prefer the old school look of the Moto 360 instead?
