T-Mobile Moto X users getting the Android 4.4.2 update

T-Mobile Moto X

The Moto X smartphone on T-Mobile is now receiving the Android 4.4.2 update, weeks after the update was rolled out to the unlocked variants. The update brings about a few changes from Android 4.4.1 with improved battery life and the ability to print documents being the new additions. The complete changelog can be found below:

  • Printing documents and pictures: Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.
  • Improved battery life: Fixed bugs which caused a small number of users to experience shorter battery life after upgrading to Android 4.4.
  • Fixed email sync delays: Fixed a bug that could cause email services like Microsoft Exchange to experience intermittent delays in data synchronization.

The update is about 147MB in size, so make sure you’re on an unlimited network before downloading the update. The software version will change to 161.44.25 after the update. If the update notification hasn’t popped on your device yet, make sure you head over to the settings to manually look for an update.
