T-Mobile LG G2 Getting KitKat 4.4.2, Isn’t An OTA Yet

Looks like the T-Mobile LG G2 gets to join the AT&T model with being on the latest version of Android. Through XDA, a massive 1.5 GB update ROM is available for download for T-Mobile users. Here is a screenshot from a user who updated, showing it is indeed Android 4.4.2 with a build number of KOT49I.D80120a.

Since there isn’t an OTA update available yet, there aren’t any release notes yet. But the improvements are likely to be similar to the update the AT&T model received recently, with a really good speed boost and KitKat being the most noticeable improvements.

Since the full update file is now available, this means the OTA update shouldn’t be too far off. But if you have a G2 on T-Mobile and want KitKat now, you can download it directly from here.

  1. I hope so. i’m dying to meet KitKat in my S3 before I decide to switch to either S4 or S5.
I wonder what’s taking them so long to roll it out though.

  2. Some reports have claimed that the update might not make it to the GS3, but we’re sure Samsung has some solution to that. Hang in there!

  3. I got the 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S3 a little over a month ago. Do you have any ideas when Kit Kat is shipping out for S3s?
