Most of us were aware of Samsung’s plans to launch multiple tablets in the first quarter of 2014 with the launch of one Galaxy NotePRO and three Galaxy TabPRO tablets. Today, a new leak has revealed the existence of three more tablets, which will be sold under the Galaxy Tab 4 series with midrange hardware.
The Galaxy Tab 4 will feature tablets in 10.1 inch, 8 inch and 7 inch configurations. Unfortunately the leaked specs of these tablets don’t reveal anything extraordinary under the hood, so it’s clear that Samsung will launch these as low cost offerings.
All three tablets will sport a display of resolution of 1280×800 pixels with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 8/16 of storage with microSD expansion and Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest iteration of TouchWiz. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will feature a 6,800 mAh battery while the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will feature a 4,450 mAh battery. The 7 inch Galaxy Tab 4 will sport 1GB of RAM while the 8 and 10.1 inch variants will sport 1.5GB of RAM.
Hardware wise, all three tablets are quite similar with barely any differences apart from the size, so it shouldn’t go heavy on your wallets. We expect these devices to be unveiled at the pre MWC event held by Samsung, which will also probably witness the arrival of the Galaxy S5 flagship.
