We have heard almost everything there is to know about HTC’s next device that is set to be launched next week in Barcelona during the WMC and we have even seen images of the M8. But what device is this? Well, the smartphone that has been highlighted so much over the past couple of weeks will have an unusual moniker, apparently it’s called ‘The All New One’.
Trusted mobile leaker @evleaks a few hours ago tweeted: “Forget HTC One+. Look for M8 to be called The All New One, in gray, silver, and gold.”
We might just as well start getting used to calling the device The All New One, no numbers, no HTC One+ and no HTC One Two. As much as the name sounds so confusing, even unconventional by today’s standards, you have to give credit for the ingenuity and the courage to stick to the name.
We saw a picture of the HTC M8 in a protected casing earlier today and we got to see the Blink Feed and the new updated Sense interface, about a week from launch, and giving the device a permanent name pretty much gives us a device supposed to launch next week.
The tweet also reveals that the device will come in three colors – gray, silver and gold. It is unclear whether the HTC All New One will come in just the three colors or these are just the initial colors with more to follow. I hope it is the latter because if I was buying The All New One (it takes time getting used to the name) I would probably choose a grey or silver out of lack of better colors.
Anyway, if you were looking forward to the HTC M8, now look forward to The All New One and read the leaks we have published over the weeks here.
