Motorola claims the Moto X successor is coming this Summer

Moto X

Earlier today, we spoke of Motorola working on the Quark X device which seemed like the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, maybe even the Moto X successor.

Motorola has now mentioned that we can expect the Moto X successor to hit the markets by this summer, which is a tad earlier than the rumored arrival date. This comes as good news for fans across the globe as Lenovo has promised to bring Motorola smartphones to a wider range of countries. The information was given away by Motorola executives who were present at the MWC event in Barcelona.

The company also mentioned that its Moto Maker customization site will be launched in regions of Western Europe and Mexico by Q2. We expect more details to emerge on this as the days pass, but it seems like more regions across the globe could soon get access to Moto Maker. In other news, Motorola’s official Twitter page has announced the availability of the Moto X in India and Australia in the coming weeks. So the manufacturer is having quite an eventful day despite being relatively silent at the MWC.
