Leaked screenshot reveals Sony’s new lockscreen music player controls

Sony Xperia Sirius Music Player

Sony’s Xperia smartphones come with the Walkman music player app by default which gives added music controls and an overall better performance. We are now getting a glimpse of the slightly revamped music player app from one of the future Sony devices, the Xperia Sirius/Z2. A new leaked screenshot compares the lockscreen music controls of the Xperia Z1 with the Xperia Sirius, showing a relative change both in terms of appearance and functionality.

Users can now scrub the tracks to their desired point directly within the lockscreen, so skipping to your favorite parts of a music track is now much easier. Also different here is the addition of a camera icon at the bottom of the lockscreen, which is standard with all Android 4.4 devices. These features will reportedly make their way to older Sony smartphones with the Android 4.4 update, which is very good news for the customers. Sony’s new Android 4.4 interface is also believed to bring some changes to the camera app as well, which could be showcased with the Xperia Z2 smartphone later this month.
