HTC could launch a music oriented smartphone by mid-2014

HTC is rumored to have plenty of devices on its plate right now with the HTC One Plus/M8 and the new Desire 8 smartphone leaking out already. A new rumor now suggests that the Taiwanese manufacturer could have a music-centric smartphone in the making with a launch expected to commence by mid-2014. There is no information on what exactly music-centric means in this context, but we’re guessing it will be something like the company’s Rezound smartphone which featured extended music controls and a pair of Beats Audio earphones. HTC has been associated with Beats Audio for the past couple of years and has implemented Beats Audio tech in its smartphones as well, so it could be something along those lines, although the two companies have parted ways.

This rumor was sparked off by Evleaks on Twitter which has credible information regarding leaks, but since we don’t have confirmation from HTC at this point, we’re going to take it with a pinch of salt. No additional details have been provided by Evleaks apart from what is mentioned above.
