Samsung to start mass production of 10.5 inch AMOLED panels in February

Samsung AMOLED panels

Samsung recently unveiled the gargantuan Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 along with the powerful trio of Galaxy TabPRO tablets. But the Korean manufacturer isn’t done with tablets yet, as it plans to launch more tablets this year, including ones with an AMOLED panel. A new report now suggests that first of these tablets might not be far away as Samsung will reportedly begin mass production of its 10.5 inch AMOLED panels as early as next month.

Although this is not Samsung’s first AMOLED tablet, it is the first large sized AMOLED panel (meant for mobile devices) manufactured by the company. Tablets sporting this display could break cover by April as some rumors have indicated, so we might not have to wait long. There’s no word on what Samsung will call it or if it will sport the same hardware as the NotePRO and the TabPRO tablets, but it’s clear that these tablets will not go easy on your wallets. We hope to see Samsung announcing these tablets along with the Galaxy S5 in March.
