Samsung begins global rollout of Android 4.4.2 for the Galaxy Note 3

Galaxy Note 3 UpdateThe Android 4.4 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was leaked just a few days ago and much to our surprise, Samsung has now begun the official rollout of the update through its channels. The update is hitting Poland first with more markets to follow soon, but it could take another couple of weeks before it arrives on American carriers. The update is compatible with global Snapdragon 800 variants with the model number SM-N9005. So you should expect a notification to hit your device any time if you own this variant of the Galaxy Note 3.

As expected, the usual suit of Android 4.4 related changes are on board here with the camera shortcut in the lockscreen and the White status bar icons among other things. We can expect to see a new TouchWiz UI on board, in line with what we saw on the Galaxy NotePRO and the Galaxy TabPRO. As is the case with any new software update, users can expect better scores from their favorite benchmarks app post the update. You can download the same ROM below if you own a compatible international variant and are impatient to wait.
