According to Taiwanese source ePrice, the LG G2 could soon be made available in a never before seen gold variant. ePrice even has a screenshot of the product page with the pricing listed at NT$16,900 ($563) which is not a lot for a new color variant. The 16GB model will reportedly cost less at $NT14,900 or $496. There’s no word on whether this variant will make its way outside Taiwan or Asia, but given the trend set by manufacturers like Samsung, it would be safe to assume that the Gold LG G2 would make its way to the U.S. as well. Hopefully LG will make an official announcement on the availability of this particular model in the coming days.
The LG G2 has been a moderate success for the company, with sales taking a beating after the arrival of the Nexus 5 handset. LG will like to turn things around and make a big impact with the LG G3 which is rumored to launch soon with rumors spilling the beans on its specs.
