LG launches the QSlide (floating window) SDK for third party developers

QSlide LG

If you’ve used a recent LG smartphone, you have probably used the floating window feature on them. LG is now in the mood to share its work with third party developers as it has just launched the QSlide SDK through its developer site. This means that developers can now launch apps with the floating window feature in the Google Play Store. This SDK gives developers the ability to customize their version of the floating window feature very deeply with controls to set window transparency, sizing between fullscreen and floating window mode etc. Developers can also add a shortcut to the QSlide tray within the notifications tray, which provides easy access to QSlide apps.

LG wants developers to understand everything there is to know about this SDK and has published a nifty guide to take developers through the process. It’s commendable of LG to bring one of its features to the masses, which is something we don’t see from a lot of manufacturers today. Interested developers can download the QSlide SDK from the link available below.
