Xiaomi Mi3 With 3G WCDMA Support To Be Released December 31

Those eagerly anticipating the release of the 3G WCDMA version of the Xiaomi Mi3 can breathe a sigh of relief now as the device is expected to roll out this coming December 31. This model is expected to work on the China Unicom 3G network as well as other 3G networks in various countries all over the world.

The first Mi3 that was released worked only on China’s TD-SCDMA network. This device used a Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. Those who wanted to use this device outside of China were not able to do so due to network incompatibilities.

The upcoming Mi3 3G WCDMA model will not only work on most GSM networks worldwide but it will also sport a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. This isn’t the regular Snapdragon processor as the device will be using the MSM8974AB variant.
