Amazon selling the Verizon DROID Maxx at $12.49 for new accounts

Motorola DROID MaxxThe most popular of the recently launched trio of Motorola smartphones, the DROID Maxx is now being offered for a great bargain over at Amazon for new customers. If you’re signing up for a new account through Verizon, Amazon is willing to give you the smartphone for as little as $12.49 with a two year contract. The smartphone will still cost $69.99 if you’re an existing account holder and are adding a new line or $99.99 if you’re upgrading from an older smartphone.

The Verizon DROID Maxx sports a 5 inch 720p display, a 10MP camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a custom made Motorola X8 chip, Android 4.3 with an update scheduled for Android 4.4 and a mammoth 3,500 mAh battery.

We can expect more deals like this to surface as we head towards the end of the year. If you’ve never been a Verizon customer before, you might want to give this deal a closer look as you won’t get a better deal anytime soon on a smartphone of its caliber.
