Sony Smartwatch 2 getting a new update from the Play Store

Smartwatch 2 The Sony Smartwatch 2 has just received a new update with some much needed improvements. Unlike conventional updates, this one can be downloaded or updated from the Google Play Store, pretty much like an app. It’s more of a UI update, with some core features bundled in to make it better and simpler to use. Most notable of these features is the ability to mark all reminders as read which is a plus given the small screen and a fast scroll option, also for notifications. The update will also introduce several new watch faces to add to the existing lot.

Other changes include stability improvements and the addition of a stopwatch app, which is something that should have been available by default as this is technically a watch. There’s not a lot more to the update than these features, but these changes do make functionality a lot better for the owners of the Smartwatch 2, so it’s worth a mention. Sony was offering the Smartwatch 2 for free with the purchase of its flagship smartphones, so it’s quite popular around Europe. Although smartwatches are a relatively new concept, Sony’s offering is on top of the list along with Pebble.
