Sony announces smartphone compatible 2-in-1 USB flash drives

Sony 2-in-1 USBSony has just launched a new range of USB flash drives compatible with Android smartphones. These USB flash drives come with a full sized USB port along with a micro USB connector on either ends to easily connect with the device of your choice. As you would have guessed by now, the flash drive is also compatible with USB on the go cables, so you can easily transfer or view the files from your computer on the smartphone of your choice. The flash drive is compatible with any Android smartphone and will require users to download the Sony File Manager app from the Google Play Store to enable transferring of files.

Sony will sell the flash drives in 8, 16 and 32GB variants costing $19.99, $29.99 and $62.99 respectively, which is quite steep for a flash drive. But considering that it isn’t a conventional USB thumb drive justifies the pricing. These smartphone oriented flash drives will start hitting markets in the coming days and should be sold through Sony retail outlets across the globe.
