Samsung will launch a fitness accessory called Galaxy Band in February

Samsung Galaxy BandA new rumor has revealed the existence of Samsung’s new fitness accessory, known as the Galaxy Band. This will reportedly follow in line with the likes of FitBit Force and Jawbone Up which are prominent fitness trackers, keeping track of your sleep schedules, runs, eating habits etc. The Galaxy Band will reportedly look like a conventional wrist-band according to the Korean report and will most likely launch during the MWC in February. This fitness band could also come with features like voice controls which other fitness accessories currently don’t have.

We hope Samsung makes this compatible with all Android devices rather than limiting its reach to just Samsung devices. But don’t be surprised if Samsung makes this compatible only with Samsung flagships as it has the marketshare in its favor to pull it off. Pricing should be set under $200 as with any Fitness accessory in the market today, so Samsung will make sure it shells out plenty of money on marketing to make this a success. The MWC is still two months away, but we should have more information coming our way as we inch closer to the event.
