Despite the barrage of complaints that we have been receiving lately from Android Smartphone users who were unfortunate enough to get the buggy version of the KitKat, Samsung plans to bank on it to benefit its low cost Smartphones.

According to SamMobile, it recently received an email containing a partial capture of the list of the low cost Smartphones of Samsung which are considered to benefit from the 4.4 update, most popularly known as KitKat.

Among the low cost Smartphones revealed in the picture provided by the source’s insider were the Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9190), Galaxy S3 Mini (GT-I8190), Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7270), Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070), Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160), Galaxy Core (GT-I8262), Galaxy FAME (GT-S6810) and the Galaxy Fresh (GT-S7390).

There may be more to the list since the screenshot appears to capture only the upper portion of the sheet containing the list.

Do Not Get Your Hopes Up Too Much

The report reminds their readers who own the mentioned devices not to get their hopes up too much. As stated, the list only contains the low cost Smartphones which are considered by Samsung to get the 4.4 update. So, there is a big possibility that not all of them will get the update.

The source speculates though that among the most likely low cost Smartphones of Samsung that will receive the update is the Galaxy S4 Mini. This is based on an earlier leakage that it received from its insider who has come across an internal document for Samsung’s KNOX security suite which confirms that the S4 Mini will get the KitKat. It should be noted that the said document makes mention of the Galaxy Mega too.
