NVIDIA Shield now selling for $249.99 after a $50 discount

NVIDIA ShieldThe NVIDIA Shield gaming console hasn’t exactly been a runaway hit among gamers. But if you were ever taken aback by the steep pricing of this handheld gaming console, then you might want to have a look at this new deal being offered by NVIDIA and other retailers. The console which previously retailed for $299.99 is now selling for just $249.99, which is a flat $50 discount on the asking price. This according to NVIDIA is the Ultimate Gift This Holiday. It’s almost apparent that NVIDIA wants to drive sales of the Shield as it hasn’t done exceptionally well so far and this is certainly one way to do it. NVIDIA is also offering free shipping with the console as an added bonus.

The Shield console sports a 5 inch 720p display along with a complete set of gaming controls including a D Pad and dual analog joysticks. Internally, the console packs the NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset with the 72 core GeForce GPU, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This deal is an almost repeat of the Black Friday prices where NVIDIA and other retailers were selling the console with a $50 discount, so if you missed out back then, now is the time to get one.
