Motorola updates Touchless Control app with functionality improvements

Touchless ControlMotorola has just posted an update to the Touchless Control app from the Moto X and the trio of Verizon DROID handsets. This new update allows for deeper voice recognition and fixes some bugs as well. The version 4.1 update brings the ability to unlock the handset by muttering the lock code and can also handle more Google Now commands without having to touch the device. Motorola has detailed all the changes in the official changelog:

  • More Google Now commands now work without having to unlock your phone first. Personal information┬ásuch as emails, messages, and contacts are still protected by your PIN or password.
  • Say your pin to unlock your phone when using Touchless Control.
  • New listening tone when you say “OK Google Now”.
  • Compatible only with Android 4.4 KitKat.
  • Bug fixes.

This is certainly a noteworthy update and is only compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat. As all variants of the Moto X have been updated to Android 4.4, you can head over to the link below and download the app.
