It looks like another shakeup at HTC is taking place. HTC’s Chief Financial Officer Chailin Chang will become the head of the global sales division. This role was previously managed by the HTC America President Jason Mackenzie, who was in charge of the division since late 2012. Before that, Jason Mackenzie managed both global sales and marketing.
HTC has had many executive changes over the last year, due to falling revenue. Last quarter, HTC posted their first operating loss in their entire history ($101.3 million). HTC risks posting another quarterly revenue loss if they miss their Q4 sales targets.
But this executive change brings the key role of the head of the Global Sales Division back to their main Taipei HQ, inline with HTC’s earlier restructurings of the company.
