The AT&T LG G2 is getting a freshly baked firmware update which brings quite a few changes on board. This is an internal update and not a full fledged Android update, so don’t expect the Android version to change. The update changes the software version to D80010o and will introduce compatibility with many new services, most notably the ISIS Mobile Wallet which recently went live all over the U.S. Other changes include fix to EAS (Emergency Alert System), updates to Ready2Go, some tweaks to Google Maps and so on. If the update hasn’t hit your AT&T LG G2 yet, you know the usual steps to follow – Settings – About device – Software update and do the needful. The update is over 57MB in size, so you can easily download this over your data network.
The LG G2 is still running Android 4.2.2 with hope of the Android 4.4 update directly hitting the smartphone, thereby skipping Android 4.3 entirely. It was rumored that LG will start rolling out the update this month, although there’s very little confirmation coming from the company.
