AT&T brings 4G LTE coverage to 12 new markets

AT&T 4G LTEAmerica’s second largest carrier, AT&T, has just announced the availability of its super snappy 4G LTE networks in 12 more markets of the United States. This takes the total tally of AT&T’s LTE markets to 488 with the carrier looking to be closing in on 500 very quickly. The carrier is miles ahead of the likes of T-Mobile and Sprint which are looking to quickly expand coverage as well. Have a brief look at the list below to see if you belong to either of these regions:

  • Durango, Colorado
  • Kauai, Hawaii
  • Burley and Twin Falls, Idaho
  • Terra Haute, Indiana
  • Poplar Bluff and Sikeston, Missouri
  • Elmira, New York
  • Pottsville, Pennsylvania
  • Appleton, Fond du Lac and Oshkosh, Wisconsin

AT&T’s 4G LTE network already covers a majority of the U.S., so it’s very likely that most people already have it today. But with Verizon currently leading the pack, AT&T wouldn’t want to stay behind for too long. The carrier is widely known to have the fastest LTE network in the country, so if you’re on AT&T and live in either of these regions, now is the right time to start checking for compatible 4G data plans.
