Vivo Xplay 3S (World’s First QHD Smartphone) Specs Gets Leaked

Just last week we reported on the estimated price of the Vivo Xplay 3S, which is going to be $600, once it gets released. We also rounded up its rumored specs since no official information regarding the device has been made yet. What we do know however is that this particular model is going to be the world’s first QHD smartphone sporting a Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) 538 ppi display.

A new leak regarding the Vivo Xplay 3S has been released and this time around it appears to be the spec sheet of the device. The first thing that caught our attention is the resolution which once again confirms that it will pack a 2560 x 1440 display.

The chipset used is the 8974AB version of the Snapdragon 800 with Adreno 330. This version has its GPU clocked at 550MHz instead of 450MHz which most Snapdragon 800 devices (such as the Note 3) are using. The specs also reveal that the device will indeed be using 3 GB of RAM.

The device will have a main camera with a yet unknown resolution but will come with an f/1.8 aperture. In photography aperture simply means the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken. The f/1.8 aperture means that this device has the ability to make excellent portrait photos by focusing more on the subject instead of the background.

Other features of the Vivo Xplay 3S includes USB 3.0 and 4G LTE connectivity which will support the International and Chinese version.

There’s also a built-in Hi-Fi audio chip which will definitely appeal to audio enthusiasts. This model might just become one of the best music player smartphones.

The leaked spec sheet is not yet official though so everything must be taken in with a grain of salt. No official announcement has been made yet regarding the device however rumors point out to a release date on the first half of next year.

The newly leaked spec sheet aligns with previous spec rumors of the device which we rounded up. See the list of the specs we previously gathered below.
