Verizon Moto X now costs $49.99 through Amazon

Verizon Moto XIf you’re in the market for a Verizon branded Moto X, you will be pleased to know that the smartphone has received a decent price reduction over at Amazon. The retailer is now offering the smartphone for a mere $49.99 with a two year contract. Since the smartphone costs $199.99 when bought directly via Verizon, this deal is pretty much a steal. The deal is applicable for both upgrading and customers signing a new contract with Verizon, so it’s open for all.

The smartphone might feel a little left out with all the attention going towards the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the LG G2 and the recently launched Nexus 5 smartphone. But considering the price and the features it brings to the table, the Moto X is certainly right up there with the biggies.

The smartphone packs a 4.7 inch 720p display, a custom made Motorola X8 chip, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 10MP camera on the back, 2MP front camera and a 2,200 mAh battery. Most of the magic on the Moto X happens under the hood with a perfect blend of software and hardware for features like the Always on mic and Active display. So even with the arrival of newer and probably better smartphones, the Moto X is in a league of its own.
