U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 now getting the Android 4.3 update

Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy S4 in the U.S. has already started getting the Android 4.3 update as earlier reported and the U.S. Cellular variant has just joined that list now. Galaxy S4 handsets running on U.S. Cellular’s networks will get the bump to version R970VXUAMJA which will bring a bunch of new features. These features include the compatibility with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as well as Samsung’s Knox security features. The update will also bring a few preinstalled apps such as City ID, Mobile TV, MobiTiles, Slacker Radio, TRD, WiFi Now, YND, Mobile Security and Amazon Shopping.

This is a partial rollout of course, so don’t be surprised if the update notification hasn’t hit your device yet. Users can alternatively check for an update manually through the settings as well. The Sprint and Verizon variants have already received the update in late October, but AT&T and T-Mobile variants are slated to get it in mid-November.
