Sony, as we all know, owns a large part of the entertainment industry. And the company is now leveraging the vast media content at its disposal to woo buyers and existing owners of the Xperia Z1, Z Ultra and the Xperia Tablet Z. According to this new promotion, Sony will make the Xperia Privilege app available for owners of these three devices which will give them access to five movies (including the recently launched Elysium), 10 games and two months of subscription to its music streaming service.
This is certainly a big freebie to give away and the users will certainly not complain. This move will nudge things slightly in Sony’s favor, but we’re afraid it won’t be enough to convince potential buyers. Companies like Samsung have a distinct advantage in the mobile industry thanks to smartphones like the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note series.
The Xperia Z1 is currently carrying Sony’s baton forward in the mobile industry with the Xperia Z Ultra and the Tablet Z rounding off the rest of the company’s flagship devices. The Z1 boasts of a 20.7MP Sony G Lens camera on the back which has received favorable reviews from critics and users alike. The smartphone will soon make its way to the U.S. via T-Mobile.
