Samsung Galaxy S III getting the Android 4.3 update in the UK

Galaxy S III

The Samsung Galaxy S III is one of Samsung’s major flagships from 2012 along with the Galaxy Note II. While the company has sent out updates to the Galaxy S4 already, the 2012 flagships were made to wait until early this month. And the update has now landed in the UK for the GT-I9300 variant of the Galaxy S III. While it doesn’t bring all the features we saw in the Galaxy S4 update, it does come with the crucial Galaxy Gear support. We can expect the default Android 4.3 features to make its way with the update bundled with some custom Samsung tweaks.

This is a global rollout of course, so users in all corners of the world with an unlocked Galaxy S III can expect to get an update notification soon. As for the residents in the UK, if the update notification hasn’t been spotted on your notifications tray yet, make sure you check manually through the settings or Samsung Kies.
