HTC has just announced a UK specific model of the HTC One smartphone which packs an expandable storage and dual SIM standby. This variant of the smartphone is apparently directed towards business customers and students in the UK who travel abroad frequently. Luckily, this version of the HTC One will sport a removable back cover to accommodate for the microSD card slot, which is a welcome addition. Sadly, the smartphone lacks 4G LTE support, so customers will have to settle for 3G HSPA.
Apart from these two additions, this is basically the same HTC One we’ve grown accustomed to with its 4.7 inch 1080p display, a quad core Snapdragon 600 SoC, a 4MP Ultrapixel camera with OIS, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5. HTC hasn’t gone easy on the pricing as it demands a whopping £494.99 ($809) for the handset off contract and unlocked. So it might not be for everybody to shell out so much merely for expandable storage and an additional microSD card slot. Most regions of Asia are selling the dual SIM HTC One for quite some time now, so this is nothing new.
