AT&T Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Update (I337UCUEMK2) Roll Out Restarts

Earlier his month AT&T rolled out the Android 4.3 (1337UCUEMJ9) update to the Galaxy S4. Most of those who wanted to update their device were not able to though since Samsung and AT&T pulled the update off. While no exact reason was given, both parties confirmed that there were issues that they were investigating. “As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.”

AT&T has just rolled out the update again today and this time has baseband version number I337UCUEMK2. The update weighs in at a hefty 727 MB and can be downloaded using a Wi-Fi connection only.

While the update does not affect the Galaxy S4 settings or data it is important to save them on the SD card or on a PC before doing the update. You can use the Samsung Kies software to backup your data to your PC. You can also do a backup on the external storage of your device.

How to update the Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3 (I337UCUEMK2)

  • Drag down the notification bar, and then tap Settings .
  • From the “More” tab, tap About device.
  • Tap Software update.
  • Tap Check for updates.
  • Tap OK.
  • Tap Continue.
  • The device will automatically start downloading the software update.  Once complete, the device will restart.
  • Please wait until your phone reboots completely, and then select Done to finish.

Verify the update

  • Drag down the notification bar, and then tap Settings .
  • From the “More” tab, tap About device.
  • The following information will be displayed: Android version: 4.3, Baseband version: I337UCUEMK2, Build number: JSS15J.I337UCUEMK2
