AT&T expands 4G LTE coverage to 10 new cities

AT&T is continuing on its merry way by launching plenty more LTE markets in the U.S. This new wave of rollout lights up 10 cities of the country with the carrier’s total LTE user base going to greater heights. If AT&T carries on this pace, it should surprise no one if it manages to catch up with Verizon, which is currently leading the pack in terms of 4G LTE coverage areas in the U.S. Below are the 10 new cities to get the 4G LTE coverage from AT&T:

  • Clarksville, Tennessee
  • Prineville, Oregon
  • Utica/Rome, New York
  • Dothan, Alabama
  • Vail , Colorado
  • Kalispell, Montana
  • Kerrville, Texas
  • Mount Pleasant, Texas
  • Eagle Pass, Texas
  • Uvalde, Texas

The carrier is currently neck and neck with Verizon as it continues to expand markets at a steady pace. Only last week we spoke of AT&T bringing LTE to 14 markets, so this appears to be a weekly rollout. It’s always good for the customers to have more LTE providers to choose from which will in turn increase competition among Verizon and AT&T. And if history has taught us anything, competition keeps the markets alive.
