Asphalt 8: Airborne now free on the Google Play Store

Asphalt 8

The eighth of the Asphalt series of games, dubbed Asphalt 8: Airborne has just gone free for Android users on the Google Play Store. This graphics heavy game originally costed $1 and already has over 500,000 downloads with generally favorable reviews, so we can imagine the kind of frenzy this new move will create.

The game mixes traditional arcade gaming with some flair and flamboyance. Users can choose from plenty of locations as well as cars which further adds to the fun element. Impatient users can always opt for in-app purchases to get ahead of the rest of the global players.

Gameloft is known for promotions like these as we head into the back end of the year. Last year, the developer made several paid titles on Android free for a limited period.

So if you’ve been held back from Asphalt 8 due to its pricing in the past, don’t look any further and download the game from the link below. Make sure the device is on a Wi-Fi network though as it needs about 1.5GB of data to download.
