Chinese manufacturer ZTE will be bringing two new smartphones to the U.S. in the form of the ZTE Nubia 5 and the ZTE Grand S. The latter has been available in global markets for quite some time now, but the Nubia 5 will come directly to the U.S. through Amazon and various other retail channels as a pre-order listing. Both smartphones feature pretty powerful specs and will lure customers with the more than decent price tag. The Nubia 5 and the Grand S smartphones will go up for pre-order through Amazon from the 5th of October with shipping commencing from October 16.
The Nubia 5 packs a 5 inch 1080p display panel, a 13MP Konica-Minolta camera sensor which comes with several shooting modes, a 2MP front camera, a quad core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro chip, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 16GB of storage and a 2,300 mAh battery. The smartphone will retail for $449.99 through Amazon. The ZTE Grand S features almost identical specs as the Nubia 5 but without those added camera tweaks. It will cost $50 lesser at $399.99. Both the smartphones will be sold unlocked of course and will feature support for GSM/UMTS networks around the country with no support for LTE.
