Verizon’s self branded Ellipsis 7 tablet leaked out

Verizon Ellipsis

The Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet has just been leaked out by renowned source Evleaks. As the name of the device suggests, this is a 7 inch tablet and is self branded by Verizon meaning it is probably launched in accordance with a small time Chinese manufacturer. It looks a lot like the 2013 Nexus 7, but with frontal stereo speakers and a prominent Verizon logo. The homescreen suggests a pretty stock version of Android Jelly Bean (possibly 4.2).

The homescreen also reveals a November 25 launch date for the tablet. We shouldn’t expect this to cost all that much considering it’s made by an in house brand and not by a major manufacturer. Most of its hardware is still a mystery at this point, but we can expect a decent quad core processor and a respectable display resolution. There’s going to be support for Verizon’s 4G LTE bands too.

Considering the large marketshare enjoyed by Verizon, this tablet could manage to sell pretty decently in the market. And the timing of the launch suggests a holiday season availability, which is ideal for any new device to enter the market.
