Verizon HTC One getting minor software update

Verizon HTC One

The Verizon HTC One smartphone is getting a minor OTA update which changes the software version to 1.10.605.10. However, it doesn’t change the Android version of the smartphone and it is still stuck on Android 4.2. The update however introduces some new features. The full changelog is listed below:

  • Device lock-ups have been reduced
  • Internet accessibility for the visually impaired is now supported
  • Update to ISIS Mobile Wallet

There won’t be any notable changes to the system or the way device functions, but the addition of internet accessibility for visually impaired users is a welcome addition. Users can alternatively head over to the settings on their Verizon branded HTC One and download the update manually if the update notification hasn’t hit the device yet. There is still no word or info regarding the roll out of Android 4.3 for carrier variants of the HTC One in the U.S. With unlocked variants already receiving the update, one would think it’s not too far away now.
