T-Mobile giving away 200MB of free LTE data for any tablet

T-Mobile has just announced a new treat for owners of its LTE powered tablets, existing or new. As part of its Uncarrier 3.0 initiative, the carrier will offer 200MB of free LTE data to any qualifying tablet under its network. Owners already on a T-Mobile LTE plan on their tablet will also get 200MB of free data to spend every month, so this promotion isn’t just limited to new customers. The validity of this promotion will last for as long as you own the device.

This offer will go live from November 1, which is another week away. Granted 200MB isn’t a lot of data in this day and age, but it’s still quite a lot when the carrier is giving it to you for free, no strings attached. Data speeds will not be throttled post the free usage, but will be automatically cut off. Users can sign up for a qualifying data plan after the free data is exhausted. So if you’re on the market for a LTE tablet and are picking carriers, T-Mobile seems like a viable option, although its LTE coverage is fairly limited.
