A new Samsung smartphone called the SGH-T399 headed towards T-Mobile has just been revealed by Evleaks on Twitter. The leak is accompanied by an image of the smartphone and we can clearly see that it isn’t high end by any means. The smartphone will reportedly pack a 4 inch display with a standard WVGA resolution, a 1.4 GHz dual core processor and LTE support through T-Mobile’s networks. The smartphone could be available starting from October 18 for under $300 and also through T-Mobile zero down payment promotion.
This is one of those smartphones which won’t make a lot of noise when launched, but will still manage to sell solely due to the low price tag. We can expect the name to be along the lines of Galaxy Garda when it hits T-Mobile shelves. While manufacturers are focused on impressing the high end customer base, it’s quite easy to forget about the midrange market. This smartphone could be sold through T-Mobile’s JUMP upgrade program which helps users switch to a new device every 12 months. We will keep a close eye for any info regarding the launch of the midrange Galaxy Garda.
