Samsung has just announced the launch of the Galaxy S4 Mini in the American markets next month. Carriers like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular will carry the smartphone at launch, according to Samsung’s official release. Strangely, T-Mobile is missing from that list, but we’re guessing the Uncarrier will launch the smartphone subsequently. We recently saw the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S4 Mini with a carrier logo on the home button, which is something we saw on the Galaxy Note II last year.
While the Galaxy S4 Mini borrows its design from the Galaxy S4, the internals are completely different to every detail. The smartphone packs a 4.3 inch qHD display, an 8MP rear camera, a 1.7 GHz dual core Snapdragon 400 chipset, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 1.5GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a 1,900 mAh battery. Pricing details haven’t been given out yet, but we’re expecting the Galaxy S4 Mini to cost somewhere close to $150 with a two year agreement.
